A guide to moving to Thailand
If the WORK PERMIT period is longer than one year, it will qualify for free customs clearance.
Usually it is difficult to get free customs clearance due to the issuing of a WORK PERMIT for 3 months.
The documents required for customs clearance are copies of the passport originals and WORK PERMIT.
The shipper must arrive in advance before shipment to the Thailand, and the goods must arrive within six months after arrival.
Customs clearance takes 3 to 5 days from the date of filing.
Shipping Period
The shipping period varies depending on the shipping schedule and local conditions, but it takes about 18 to 20 days from the date of packing in Korea. (to LAEM CHABAG)
Prohibited and Restricted items
Food is prohibited in Thailand. If necessary, it is recommended that you take only a small amount.
If you are not entitled to tax exemption, please refrain from shipping electronic goods and new products as the tax is imposed on the goods list.
Vehicle Shipment
Thailand is not prohibited from importing cars, but there must be authorization for the Minister of Thailand. Actually, it takes 2 to 3 months, so it costs a lot of extra money.

Pets are prohibited from importing.
